What are the best natural treatments

To give your grey hair the glow it deserves there are quite a few choices when it comes to natural treatments. Let’s take a look at a few of them that are hassle-free to put together, and you can do so straight from the comfort of your home.

Try a lemon treatment

Squeeze an entire lemon in 500ml (17oz) of water and rinse your hair with this mixture once a month.

The citric acid in lemons is a natural clarifying agent that will remove scalp build-up from the products you use. It also breaks down limescale from hard water, helping your hair regain its natural silky-smooth texture.

Try a mixture of yogurt and egg yolk

These two ingredients together are well known for their power of making any hair shine. The egg yolk cleanses the roots deeply while the yogurt nourishes and hydrates the hair strands, leaving your hair not only with a beautiful shine but also healthier after each application.

Try a mixture of egg white, honey, and olive oil

Apply a mixture from one egg white, a teaspoon of honey and a tablespoon of olive oil on damp hair and keep it covered for half an hour before rinsing. These three ingredients together have amazing properties and will moisturize and nourish your hair, smooth out the hair follicles as well as add and lock shine in. After this treatment, your hair will thank you.

Here are a few other tips and tricks

There is no doubt that grey hair gives a very stylish and sophisticated look to anyone bold enough to try it. To wear it fearlessly and beautifully you need to know that grey locks usually get drier and frizzier than pigmented hair.

They tend to get a yellowish shade due to sun exposure or water minerals, as well as look dull and lifeless if they’re not being taken care of thoroughly.

What can you do? Read on and find out!

Use a purple or blue shampoo

This may sound a bit strange, but the best way to highlight grey hair is to use a purple or blue shampoo that neutralizes the yellow shades that occur from ultraviolet light, hard water, or even smoking.

Since purple is on the other side of the spectrum, it’s complimentary with yellow and they cancel each other out, making your grey hair pop and shine like magic.

Use hair wax in moderation

Fatty products can put an unnecessary load on your hair if not applied or washed off correctly, making grey hair look especially sparse and greasy. Because wax is insoluble in water, you have to use a shampoo that is deeply cleansing, and you have to make certain you wash your hair thoroughly after the use of these types of products. If it builds up on your head, it can actually dry your scalp and facilitate the appearance of dandruff.

The best solution to this problem is moderation. Apply only a small amount of wax and try applying it to the ends of your hair instead of your roots. If you’re not a big fan of hair wax, you could try a light serum that keeps your hair healthy without fattening it instead.

Be careful with clothes and make-up

What does hair have to do with clothes and make-up? Well, think about it!

Earthy shades like brown, green, or beige against white hair will make your look faded and uninteresting. To avoid the so-called ‘granny-look’ choose clothes in white, red, black, or even grey to complement your silver hair and make it pop.

Don’t forget about the importance of make-up. Grey hair will tend to make your skin look pale or dull, so the trick here is to apply a little blush with a pink or peachy undertone. This will revive your appearance and will make you shine all-over.

Conclusion

When it comes to our hair, we all worry about how it looks, how to style it, how to make it look more shiny and healthy, what products to use, and so on because everybody wishes to look as young and beautiful as possible.

Our hair is one of the deciding factors in how other people see us, so to always feel confident, we must take care of it and make sure it’s most of all healthy. That’s what truly keeps our hair young, strong, and beautiful.

If you have colored hair, tonics will help. And if gray-haired, then the onion mask will restore shine well!

Does the egg and lemon example work on brown hair? Or is it just for those who already have blond hair?
